
Dr. Deepa Abraham grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She went to Yale
University for college where she majored in Molecular Biophysics and
Biochemistry, and then went on to medical school at Johns Hopkins. After
earning her medical degree, Dr. Abraham completed a one year internship
in Internal Medicine at Sinai hospital in Baltimore and then returned
to Yale to complete a three-year ophthalmology residency. Dr. Abraham
then completed a one year glaucoma fellowship at the New York Eye and
Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Abraham is board certified in Ophthalmology and has published several
articles in leading ophthalmic journals. She is a fellow of the American
Academy of Ophthalmology. Before deciding to open her own practice in
Lillington, she practiced ophthalmology in New York, Virginia, and the
Smithfield/Cary areas of North Carolina.
Dr. Abraham and her family are enjoying living
in and being part of the Lillington and Dunn communities.
